Friday Recap

Weekly client report template

The same four sections every week, so the client knows where to look. This is the page, not a Google Doc you duplicate.

Use this when you still build the Friday client update by hand. Pull numbers from ads and analytics, paste them here, download a one-page PDF, skim it, then attach it to the email.

The four sections

What to write in each section

What shipped

Past tense. Name the thing that went live. Skip process language.

Write Launched the Sept retargeting set on Meta. Raised free-shipping threshold from $75 to $89.

Skip Continued optimization. Monitored performance across channels.

Results

4–6 numbers the client already cares about. Each row needs this week and a vs-prior. No dashboard dump.

Write Meta · $18,420 · $51,940 · 2.82 ROAS · +9% ROAS

Skip Twenty metrics with no prior week and no paid total.

Blockers

Only real ones, named, with an owner. Empty is fine — the PDF drops the whole section.

Write Catalog feed still dropping SKUs (feed owner). Three UGC cuts waiting on creative (AM).

Skip Some delays. Waiting on assets.

Next week

Three commitments with a date or trigger. Not “monitor performance.”

Write Hold Meta near $18–19k if ROAS stays above 2.6. Kill-or-keep the $89 shipping test on Monday.

Skip Optimize campaigns. Review results next week.

How to use this template

  1. Open Generate.
  2. Paste this week’s shipped list, results, blockers, and three next-week commitments.
  3. Download the PDF. Skim it. Attach it to the Friday email.

Nothing is invented. Thin weeks stay thin. The file title is the client name — “Friday Recap” does not appear on the PDF.

Sample week (labeled example)

Load example fills a fake week for Northline Supply. It is labeled EXAMPLE ONLY on the PDF. Those numbers are not real and Northline is not a customer.

FAQ

Is this a free weekly client report template?

Yes. Generate a recap with no account. You paste the week; the tool formats a one-page PDF.

Can I edit the PDF after download?

Change the fields and generate again. The PDF is built only from what you typed.

What if I only have a thin week?

Leave blockers blank. Keep results honest. The page stays short on purpose.

Does this connect to Google Ads or Meta?

Not in v1. You paste numbers from the tools you already use.

Is this a Google Doc or Notion template?

No. It is a browser page that builds a PDF from the fields you fill. You keep your own spreadsheet for the source numbers.

What does a good weekly client report include?

Four parts: what shipped, results with a prior-week compare, blockers only if real, and three next-week commitments. Skip status theater.

Can I rename the example and send it?

No. Renaming Northline without editing shipped or results is refused. Load example is labeled EXAMPLE ONLY on the PDF.
